High efficiency panels, and some supplemental passive systems, and I'd say yeah; it's within the realm of possible.

Diesel generators... big fucking diesel generators.

I've seen guys bury tractor trailers in their yard and shit, but this thing is fucking awesome... way beyond what I would expect.

Now, if he was REAL smart, he would have built it inside a fucking cave that had some underground river running through it to set up some sort of turbine system to generate the juice... Of course, that's what they always say about real estate... location, location, location.
