Watched the video. Looks cool.
Don't have much more to add. My FPS experience pretty much begins and ends with Duck Hunt. I'm probably not their target market.

I'd be interested to see the technology finessed a bit more; it seemed as though the character movement wasn't as smooth as it could have been.

If you are going to do something like this you should really be tied with something like Oculus Rift, should try to sell it to facebook. Would just get annoying tied to the television. I have no interest in it as it would get me destroyed by any gamer using a keyboard/mouse combo.
Pretty much just looks like a version of the wii mote and nunchuck for other systems anyway. Last edited by Trip; 04-08-2014 at 10:51 AM.. |

Have you tried to play with the wii mote nunchuck on a TV on other games besides wii sports? Things like Zelda and other games that had motion a lot like this in game? I have, the motion of trying to aim while your view point remains in the same location is extremely clumsy and forces the player out of the mindset of the game to try to focus on the location of the TV. This will also be a niche target audience on it's own for solo game play as motion gaming is too slow in comparison to that of reactive gameplay of other devices. It really belongs with a virtual reality based system like OR can help deliver. Last edited by Trip; 04-08-2014 at 11:50 AM.. |
