yes but case in point they don't recommend 520 on a liter bike - go 530..

The guys at Motomummy claim that a 520 will be ok on an I-4 liter. I don't own one so I cant say that's fact, but I'd have to imagine a parts retailer would know his shit. I didn't say dealer though, dealers don't know jack shit about bikes.

Nope actually the 9R came with a 525, that was a 530 setup I put on it. Then after that I went to a 520 with good Renthol sprockets. No more problems.

SUPERSPROX STEALTH SPROCKETS FOR THE WIN!

They might be 80 bucks a pop for a rear sprocket, but they last forever. I've got one on my Tuono (525). The bike's got almost 30k miles on it and I've had it since 15k miles. Hardly shows any more wear than when I first got it.

Paired w/ a DID VM x-ring eBay special for 100 bucks that's taken care of & a steel front sprocket and you've got a drivetrain that'll last for longer than you can imagine.
