Just in the 30's here and some sleet, luckily the roads were warm enough that none of it was sticking. It was just wet driving in... now in the morning it might be a bit more interesting.
(and by interesting, I mean it'll suck driving home)

Well, you can damn sure bet I didn't ride to work
Actually, it seems like a month or more since I have.
Weather willing, I need to get in another good ride before my cruise at the end of the year.

I guess that is fair. I live in the Ozark mountains pretty much. (Middle of the country. Southern MO/NW arkansas area) We have some nice turns.

I almost did..then saw it was going to rain pretty bad. The cold doesn't bother me. Rain wth no rear brake does. Hopefully I'll have that fixed before New Year's.

Yeah, cold isn't such a big deal for me. I've just been lazy about gearing up lately. It generally takes me less time to just throw my shit in the truck and head out than it does to get all my stuff buttoned down, overweight backpack strapped on, and go.
Not a good excuse, but that's my story.

I'm usally too tired to do it And if I'm running late rarely will I take the bike unless I have to. Last winter was a bitch after I totaled my car. I rode in it all...the bike was my only mode of tansportation until March or so. And I had no winter gear at all. I learned how to layer, but my hands would still freeze. Riding even for 15-20 minutes on the interstate doing about 85 or so was not fun. My hards would hurt for a long time when warming them back up. After Christmas I'm getting some heated grips!

Oh, I know all about it.
I don't have anything "heated", but I can layer as well.
The really bad thing is when I've worn just enough to keep me warm going to work and then it's gotten colder overnight.
When I get into more populated, high traffic areas, the ambient temperature is a little warmer. But there's a nice long section of nothing but open fields between where I work and home. That's always the coldest part.
Still, I've done ok most times I've ridden.
Lately it's either been threats of rain or a lot of wind... or just laziness
