Solid advice.
I killed my first whitetail with my grandfather's .243 and my current hunting rifle is a Remington 700ADL in .270.
Both solid calibers, provided you aren't looking to take on large game.

I actually just got a 3x9 Redfield scope mounted on my Swiss rifle... wouldn't mind taking a deer with that.

Just got the gf a Tika .243 before I left with a Nikon Buckmaster scope. Her deer rifle, and my varmint gun until I get my AR built.
Any of these I think would be good.

In case I didn't respond before... yes, I'm a gun owner. Was on the hunt for #2 pistol today.

I have a few . I just picked up this for sporting clays and skeet.

Browning Citori 625 Sporting with a 30" barrel

I'll have to get my camera from the office for some real pics.

Depends on where you live. In TN, .223 is not acceptable...

really? huh. Guess I thought that was a universal lowest legal caliber. Never hunted outside of ND, MT, SD, and MN though.

Yeah, which means if I wanna hunt, I need another rifle or another upper for my AR.
