Crosby "looks" bigger b/c hes padded and on skates...And I dont think i've ever seen the Man throw a decent check at anyone in the short time I forced myself to watch him play.

Chara isnt 'big', he's abnormally huge. Guys that size usually have a hard time to skate, let alone play hockey. He's the exception, not the norm.

And you must not have watched him play very much, he checks all the time.

Chara is not that big either. I saw him in a bar when he was playing for Ottawa and he was tall, but skinny like the rake.

Scotty Bowman was complimenting taylor mays how he moved/skated so well for someone his size. Prety damn good if its comming from someone like bowman

You want to talk about big hockey players. Todd Bertuzzi, 6-3 245. Go Wings! Pronger and Chara are tall but they have no meat to them.

I used to see Dave Andreychuk and Marty St. Louis around a lot. Andreychuk is pretty damn big (as is Vinny Lecavalier), St. Louis not so much.

Agreed, but its still not that normal for someone his size to skate as well as he does.
