Well, for me it was getting hit by a car this year. It totaled my bike and as much as I miss having a bike, I don't miss riding in Sofla. So I am thinking of getting just a track bike...of course, now that I am going to Africa for the World Cup next year, its going to take a little longer.

That's it right there. I feel like the joy of riding was stolen from me. Not saying I'll never ride again...I just can't get out of my head. Even when I am day dreaming about riding I get hit by a car. It's not really funny, but I have to laugh. That bitch takes me out even in my fantasy world. Dumb bitch.

I didn't race this year because I was unemployed and didn't have health insurance - it would have been stupid on my part. If I were pregnant, I would stop riding. Anything else - I'm not sure. Injury? maybe. Close call? Maybe. Because I lost my passion for it? Maybe. Because Louie asked me to? Depends....

I have lost friends in motorcycle accidents and that scares the shit out of me sometimes. I dont think so much of my own safety but that of those I ride with care about.

It took me two years to finally get over that feeling that I was going to wreck every time I turned the key on.

The fear is gone, but winter is here.

I sold my R6 in 2005 for two reasons.

In 2004 a very good friend of mine was killed by a car merging into her at 80mph. She left an 8 yr old child behind. That shook me up bad and I didn't touch the bike for 4 months.

Money. At the time, I needed to buy some other things and I didn't have money for bike payments and money to pay for everything else. I had to make a decision. I was also in debt up to my eye balls. I sold most of my toys in 2005.

The last few years I've been looking for any excuse to get another bike but I'm stuck on the money issue. My wife stays home with our two kids and I'm the sole bread winner. Once both the vehicles are paid off, I have a green light to purchase another bike.

I did keep my quad so I am able to get a lot of enjoyment out of that, but it's not the same.

2 years, 8 months and counting.

I went from 1995 to 2005 not riding after the last accident.....it takes a while for the hurt to leave your mind after being t-boned at 70 mph. Three months out of work & bankruptcy dosen't help a whole lot either. I hope the little bitch that turned left on me rots in Hell.

Only money or debilitating health issues could stop me from riding.

Nothing else (kids, spouse, etc.) would stop me.
