no one knows, a guy that is close to honda said its not for any protective any reason, like reving it wont blow it up, my guess is for safety to new riders and gas milage, other then that i think its worth a more then a few ponies too

the thing is super simple, its a oem wire and end piece that slides into on of the plugs and you take that wire and splice it into another on the other plug with a safeyloc connector, super simple and since he used a oem harness and just took out all the wires from a new oem plug it is just as dependable as the stock wiring, some kits use just audio cable but that doesnt have the water proof collar the the oem piece does
