I've only ridden in the mountains in Arkansas and in Hill Country in Texas. I'll wait until I get back from the rally before making an opinion.

My guess would be North Carolina for those wanting tight twists and turns and constant changes in elevation.
But for long sweepers and track like riding I'd have to go with some of those Arizona/Nevada roads that I remember I think Dlit posting a while back. Knee dragging at 115mph is just fucking awesome.

Be hard to beat where i live, just my opinion, Northwest NC in the mountains, on the TN and VA lines, short drive to Shady valley, TN(489 curves within a 15 mile radius), not far from deals gap, 181 mountain(long fast sweepers), not terribly far to ride to some awesome roads in WV....even the ride to get to these places is awesome, there aren't any straight roads here, hell theres not even many passing zones

Any state in the Appalacian Mountains, any state in the Rocky Mountains, after riding in the Denver area in '06 I'd kill to go back again! Basically anywhere there's mountains FTW! I do prefere N GA just because our riding season is so long and winter is so short (normally, this winter sucked balls)!! |

The weather brought me down here to NC. The roads are decent,it's not TOO hot or cold and I had a job waiting for me.
