That's the whole point. Keep shit intact and rideable if it goes down.

Some one's had to of thought of that right? I mean...I dont think a company like Graves would put out something if it made the rear brake difficult to use. But who knows.

This is what I was thinking of, but they don't make them for the R1 yet.

R1 Clutch Slider

The main purpose of the clutch slider is to protect the clutch linkage. Not to protect the engine cases. They actually make case savers for the R1 and they are totally different.

If you look at the pic, you can see how the clutch saver works. See where the clutch cable goes into the case. If you notice, there is a small cover from the factory to protect the clutch linkage. In the R1, that oem cover isn't actually that strong. A few people have had problems in low speed tip overs with the clutch linkage breaking off due to the cover snapping. So Graves and a few other companies came up with the clutch slider to help protect the clutch linkage. It's cheap insurance. I've never heard of any issues on the R1 forum with anyone having problems using the rear brakes due to the slider being in the way.

Had one on my '05 R6. They don't get in the way. It was also called a Clutch Slider. Can't remember the manufacturer, but think it was Vortex.

Triple tree cover -- the only real imperfection on this bike is that the prev owner apparently had a keychain that scratched up the triple tree, so I've GOTTA cover it, it's gonna bug the shit outta me!

I like the look of the Tech Specs better; they blend better on this bike.

I rode a guys 06 R1 with those on it a few weeks ago and those things are obnoxious! When they weren't getting in the way of etting my foot on the pegs I was trying to shift the damn thing. The brake side actually had better clearance than the shifter side.
