i'm looking for an Ohlins equipped bike right now, Tuono Factory, Monster 1100s. not for track use but commuting, i rode a 00.5 aprilia RSVR way back, and that was the best (most compliant) suspended bike i ever rode, so i want 1 for the street.

I can appreciate that. I could ride a rigid on the street and be fine with it. Different strokes. Still, IMO there is less "wrong" with riding a factory equipped bike like a poser than that SV. If you are going to try and turn a budget sportish-cruiser into superbike by tossing parts equal to or greater than bike's value at it, you damn sure better well ride it.
