Carolina has one. It was her first bike, and even after she started upgrading, she kept it.
I'm in the process of bringing it back to life. It has sat for the better part of the last 2-3 years. I'll tell ya this. That bike is STUPID easy to work on. I'm doing some YouTube videos of the revival as well if he wants something to look at once I get it done. Apparently it's a pretty fun bike to ride. She has the 1098 now, but insists that once I get it running and roadworthy, she will ride it some. I haven't had any trouble finding parts. There were a couple of things I had to snag from eBay, but all of the maintenance stuff I've needed I've been able to pick up at the Harley/Buell dealer. They had everything in stock too. I haven't had to *order* anything yet.

They have a seal leaking issue, but the replacement seal (crank?) was supposed to be better.
I was going to buy a 2001 with 3400 miles for 1500...still need to talk to the dude about it.

I'd say it all depends on how much the sled is worth... I might have missed that in the thread. Personally I wouldn't pay more than $1500 for a Blast with low miles and in perfect condition... Its like a Ninja 250 but more rare. You can get a 500 Ninja with more power and more flexible of a machine for $2k or so in great shape. If it makes financial sense from a "good deal" standpoint go for it.

There was a 500 Ninja on CL today in the Albany area...I'd stick with something still being made if it were me...
