on a lookout going across the dam at Saylorville reservoir, just outside of Johnston (Des Moines) IA.

A week later that dam was closed off to the public because of flooding. They had to open up the spillway so much that the entire campground was flooded just to keep the water level down enough to save the towns upstream.
