Hahaha I see you're having fun too. My arms and ankles are all scratched up from playing with the little guy we picked up. Glad to hear Rosco is all right though.
My pup was easy to potty train, on the second day he was here he learned to tell us when he has to go outside. I should note he was an outside dog before hand. Not to say he didn't have a couple accidents. We taught him sit, but it's damn near impossible for him to learn stay or come yet. The little guy just has way too much energy.

Wow, my neighbors dog looks JUST like that. Hyper little shit, but it didn't take her long to get to know me. Use to bark at me everytime I'd look out my window. Then one day I reached over the fence and started petting her (with neighbor's permission). Dog doesn't bark when I look out my window anymore.

My friends have a rescued boxer that has brain damage. One of my favorite dogs ever. It just chills all of the time and whenever I am sitting on the couch, one of her paws is resting on me at the very least.

Rosco does that too! He needs to be touching somebody.
I let him out to shit this morning. He comes in with poop on his paws and jumps right on the couch! So I scream at him to get down, so he jumps on the good couch. At this point I'm so pissed I grab him and lie him on his dog bed. Great! Shit on my hoodie! I take it off, take all of the cushions off and throw everything in the washer. I come upstairs, dog bed is covered in poo. So I pick him and the bed up and bring him outside. When I come into the house to clean up the floor, I notice my bicep is smeared in shit! I clean myself up and mop the floors. What was supposed to be a 5 minute evolution turned into 1.5 hours. Seriously, fuck my life! |

ours always has to be touching. funny she has a bit of a cough right now too. just something she ate again.
hope roscoe feels better soon. ours was a PIA to potty train as well. We won't even get into "hey let's leave the puppy out free in the house, we'll only be gone a few minutes". OMG!!!! didn't think I had that much stuff that could be eaten or destroyed. I became a fan of crate trainging very quickly. Now she runs the house as an under cover guard dog. It took 3 years though. |

Potty training my boxer was hard. He knows he needs to go outside, I think he was just lazy. Now he's good, but it almost took an entire year to get him 100% going outside.
Here is a recent pic of him. |

I always thought boxers were one of the smartest and easiest dogs to train!

plus one for crate training, mine always has to be touching someone, either sleeping on my chest or leaning up against me.

Boxers touching people is from their heritage - they're herders but they don't bark to herd, they lean on the animals. So touching something is in their nature. ours are the same way. And to get your attention they rub your leg with their paw...
Ours were easy to train - BUT you have to me 100% consistent or they will 'forget'. They're stubborn that way...
