Guys are full of such bullshit.

If you're just looking to get laid there's no point in playing hard to get because you're only after one thing.

But whether guys will admit it or not they like *some* form of chase (girls too in all reality). Where's the thrill of getting something that's easy? It doesn't hold any esteem because it's easy.

Somewhere in the middle depending on the guy and girl. But what no one likes is needy!!!!

I wouldn't know the explanation of it. I guess it would be a sliding scale of not being available to their every whim and fancy. Or maybe you could say making them work for it.

I'm not very good at it and I highly doubt I do it (I certainly don't try). I'm very honest and genuine (to a fault). I would bet on some unconscious level that it turns guys off and all the guys that say they hate hard to get are just full of it.

All this time I've been doing it wrong by dating women I hit it off with? When all along I should have been trying harder to get the ones that thought dating was some form of game full of silly tests like playing hard to get?

Strike a middle ground. Let them know you are interested but do let the guy or girl pursue you. The chase does make it worth while but being honest helps to.

You couldn't be more wrong. Game playing is for the schoolyard, or the comic book shop after hours.
I am not talking about just sex, any time a woman plays hard to get, I completely lose interest.
I would rather an honest woman, that does not play games.
