I would do the rice instead of the sunshine.
The rice will act as a desicant and draw the moisture out. The sun will just cause the water to vaporize. Not neccesarily dry it out. |

if you go to a craft store - they have those moisture beads that you find in packets with purses, shoes etc to keep them dry. They're very inexpensive - buy a bag and put the ipod in there for several days...

Ouch.
My Creative MuVo went through the washer & dryer with no problems, but it's a lot simpler than an iPod. Not much to add as far as advice... it's my impression that Apple makes everything difficult to take apart, but if you can, that's your best bet...

I like the rice or moisture beads. Water isn't very damaging per say, but you really need to get it dry before using it.

I would have no idea how to take it apart! And if i did, being as impatient as i am, i'll end up breaking it.
I'll look into the moisture beads, right now the water that collected behind the screen has evaporated. I live in the desert, the air leaches water out of everything! |

The rice does the exact same thing as the moisture beads.

it works! Kind of...It plays again but the backlight doesn't come on. Well the most important part is that it still plays. Do you think if i bought it to the Apple store they can fix the light?
