Irony - GTA4

I haven't played any of them since the first one, I don't think... but what I find funny is this:

According to the media, we're in a recession... and yet, according to that same media, this game is expected to gross some $300M - IN THE FIRST WEEK. That's what, about 5M copies of the game? If we're in such financial dire straits as a country, then how do they explain that so many people apparently have enough $$$ to spend on video games?

I don't know about that. A $60 video game gives more hours of entertainment than $60 spent going out somewhere. To me, the game is a more economical choice. What about spending $60 on my bike? $60 doesn't buy much of anything on my bike.
