There was a guy like that at my last job. He'd literally lie about the weather... like, he'd come back from a site upstate and talk about how he drove through a hellacious storm on the way back... and a while later I'd mention it to his partner who was with him on the trip, and, no, it didn't rain at all
He knew how to fly all sorts of craft from "his time in the service", and was called up on short notice to fly Shania Twain's helicopter to the stadium when she played in town. He and his brother used to own more than a dozen Corvettes, then sold them all to buy a '68 L88, which of course is stored "on the family land" in North Carolina so no one could see it... Lived on a big riverfront tract, big house up by the water out on the edge of the county... but his company mail all went to a down-scale apartment complex for "tax purposes"... My Mom worked with a compulsive liar (a salesman, of course) who made up two marriages and a divorce over a period of years...

Guy in my company told me that he can easily do a 12 mile ruck march with a 50lb pack at an average of 6 mph.
Too bad he's been on crutches for 2 months cause he had surgery after spraining his ankle... yes. surgery for a sprained ankle. |

and for him 6 mph is not running, it's just a long stride walk. yeah, he's only 6'1". I can run 6 mph in boots, but no way in hell can I do it for 12 miles. |

Those people are everywhere in life.
I just get really tired of someone who always has to one up you. I know a girl like that and also see it quite a bit online. |

I've seen it done before. The fastest guy to do the 12 mile ruck at air assault school did it in 1:45 (somewhere around there), but it was with a 35lb pack. I think I did it around the 2:30 mark and I had a fractured ankle.
