I think Libya became the whipping boy for pussy ass countries (cough FRANCE cough) to get some kind of "victory" under their belt by lobbying some cruise missiles and letting the rebels be the ones to get killed.

He originally took over by a military coup, and figured out how to prevent that from happening to him. From what I recall, he disbanded his "regular Army" a while back, and reorganized it into smaller, independent units.

At least one of those units was run by one of his sons, so yes, he was in charge of the overall intent of the "mission", if not the smaller details.

Do a little research, and you'll find that taxpayers (that's us, btw) have MORE of our money spent on corporate subsidies, than is spent on the poor, welfare mothers, the unemployed, etc.
