When I put the trunk on the back, I usually dismount by throwing my leg in front over the tank. I was in a hurry (had to go to the bathroom ) and lightly kicked it getting off the bike not paying attention. Since it was dry rotting, it snapped easy.

Tools are like real estate, they never really lose their value, and are very valueable to the owner. Some of the best money I've ever spent.
