I guess I'd also hack the exhaust off right at the mounting bracket.

It'd be a toss up between the Cafe and the Street Tracker, but I'm leaning Cafe. But you couldn't go wrong with a Street Tracker either.

I like the chopper best, but to do it right I'll have to completely disassemble the bike and send it off to have a hardtail put on it. That's BIG money. But I love the look of the rigid frame, and I love the idea of a suicide shift, it's not hard at all, but it freaks people out.

I might do a quick cafe job on it until I can save up the cash to have the frame done or I blow up the motor and have to pull it out to rebuild it.

This is of course predicated on the assumption that I buy the bike instead of dumping the money into turning the KTM into the baddest tard on the planet.

Maybe that's the poll I should do.

They look cool, but I rode a stocker once and wasn't impressed. As I remember, it was slow and vibrated. If I was looking for an older bike to modify, I would get one with some grunt. If it had to be a Yammi, it would be the excess 11 (XS1100). Or a GS1100E, CB900F, Ninja 900, FJ100, etc.

I actually have a friend that has three excess 11's, the first time I ever saw a XS650 was at a XS rally that he invited me too. I've ridden his XS11 Midnight Special and it's a fun bike. Another reason I'm kind of leaning toward the chopper is because it's very suited to this bike, it's a copy of the old brit twins that got chopped a lot. If I turn it into a tracker or a cafe it's always going to be underpowered, if I turn it into a chop it's not a problem if it's slow and vibrates.
