RIP Ash. :-(

That's a difficult turn. I hope the locals didn't oil it like they did a couple of years ago.

With all the pics of people crossing the centerline(on killboy), I don't think the oiling would matter anymore.

RIP young rider. That is WAY WAY too young. He's just a kid.

Who's fault?

Trip, local report?

None of the riders in his group witnessed the accident, they think he lowsided and slide into/under the car coming in the other lane which was described as a Nissan 350Z. Car was said to be in it's lane and not traveling fast or anything, but specific details are a bit sketchy.

That is EXACTLY how the Memphis rider died there. Went under a car. He has a plaque on the side of the road right there. Very sad. They really need a better sign put up.

Always hate hearing stories like this.... RIP Ashwin

My prayers and sincere condolences go out to his family and friends....

For the guys on the yzf600r forum.... isn't this the the 2nd time there's been a fatality at the annual GAP trip?? Greg (polystigma) is a local friend and riding buddy of mine, and also on the yzf forum, and I'm pretty sure I remember him telling me about several years back when he was there on the annual ride, somebody else got killed. If so... man that's rough!
Definitely a great guy. Im not positive but I think they did have this happen before. Ive only been a member of that forum for about 2 years now though.
