wow dude, that fucking SCUKS. but hey, the good side is at least you've A. gotten MORE than your moneys worth from the bike, B, gotten no injuries, and C. got good coworkers and luck on your side.

from the looks of it though, its fixable, and you're likely gonna be riding it again.

oh maaaaaaaaaaan - ouch

you're gonna be sore in the morning. Have the ibuprofen handy

agree with Trip: you may want to just look for another motor and replace the broken bits with unbroken parts rather than risk welding pieces. If it was running when the oil went all over the place there may be more damage that you can't see...

glad you were able to walk away from that dude

For example....$6999 I know for certain that they will take less on a cash deal.

Dude the site says $6599.00, not 6999. People always trying to be the middle man...

I have the same exact bike, which will be up for sale soon...

Oh I didn't even look that close... It's great to have someone always checking my figures on here...

Oh and while you're doing figure corrections, allow me to help you with your geography...we're in North Carolina. Why exactly would he be interested in a Ca spec bike?

He was factoring in his finder's fee.

Cross posting from NCS!

Glad you're alright! My 929 stator cover came apart like that in a low-side. Is the aluminum block behind still in-tact? Looks like it could be broken at the bottom. Mine broke there, making it impossible to match a new stator cover to it. For that reason alone, I had to part mine out.

You got 110k more out of yours than I did, though. I thought I was doing good with my 7 year old 929 with 69,8xx miles on it!
