Ths is basically what I just did. Sold my house,whittled down my belongings, took a voluntary layoff and picked up and moved to NC. I plan on riding my bike all over the area once the weather breaks for good. I don't have any plans beyond that. I was tired of my life and the rut I was in and decided to do something about it.

Yea,I couldn't have done it if I had children. I looked at climate,economic data,etc and chose this area. The cost of living is very low and when/if I want to get a job,there's plenty. Plus it's basically central to wear I want to go this Summer. |
