The car isn't FASTER than the bike, but she'll probably see the track before the bike does.... November 7th, the WRX will hopefully make her auto-x debut (mine, too!!)

I would like to get a fast car to track at some point. I know the track record at the closest track is held by a miata that is around 10 seconds faster than the bike record.

At Streets of Willow I think the record for bikes and cars is pretty close, but the difference is there are a ton of guys in cars that get close to those levels but only a few on bikes. Cars are a lot easier and have a lower penalty for failure.

The lasy autox I did, I rented a chevy cobalt from enterprise and beat teh shit out of it. Once in a while I will do a trackday in a rental car too, I just make sure I get the optional insurance

I do but thats not hard being that my bike tops out at 65mph, maybe 70 if I go downhill.

I just did TWS this weekend in my NC Miata, about 10 secs. slower than my fastest recorded bike time, but that was a long time ago, and I'm a lot slower/rustier on the bike currently. I'd guess that I'm prob. faster in the car now...having a kid has made me a lot more risk-averse!

Those of you that saw my ride at The SE rally know it's a beast. Definitely faster than the bike...
