Buy yourself a used jap standard from the 90s, you can prolly find one for a few hundred, ride it locally until you get ready to buy ags in another 2 years

How much would it actually cost to rebuild the engine? Or to just replace it out right

I'm thinking the same thing. See if you can get something cheap or even a basket case you can work on. At least that way you wouldn't be completely bikeless.

If it's just rings and a piston, it shouldn't cost you much to get it fixed and even less to do it yourself.

hopefully not much.... but I want to sell it... have for a bit now... it's not at all suited to the type of riding I do... a good bike but not the right one.

going bikeless isn't the end of the world... and I'm tired of living pay check to pay check because my budget is tight meeting my bills and riding eats into my left over "play money"

I've done that too long... I'm tired of it... I'm getting this sorted and saving up on the side...(it'll serve as an emergency fund until my debt is gone.. then it'll be my bike $)

This is a great plan....be debt free AND have cash in hand to go pick out the "right" bike for the type of riding your enjoy most.

Dear God,
Since when did common sense and responsibility become the "norm" around a sportbike forum? Why must we age past our stupidity and naive nature. This makes for a much more boring read while working in the lab. Please bring a Bulldog or other stupid idiot sent to amuse us. Thank you.

Ahmen,

Drewpy

Sucks.
Your bike is the first victim of the dreaded forum header curse.

trust me I'm still an idiot sometimes... main reason why I can't have the bike and live in the budget I need to...

actually it died on the 21st before the header was put up... but we'll see if it's an actual Madden cover copy... Trip's bike or the lineup of all the others would be next...

all of a sudden a new header doesn't sound awesome
