Well, they have been telling the lie for over 80 years now, so that's almost a century of propaganda to overcome...but it's coming.

Trip, Avatard is in complete denial about the severe lack of thinking and reasoning ability among the general population. You have to admire his hope for humanity though.

Nah dude, I never underestimate the stupidity of the general public...remember; I used to sell exotic Italian racing pocketbikes over the phone. Shit that would tear you a new asshole if you weighed 250 Lbs, and rode like Rossi...and every fucking day I'd have to talk to retards convinced that they needed the most powerful models I sold for their fucking 4-year-old, who didn't even know how to ride a bike yet.
I talked to more stupid people in the 6 years I was in the minimoto business than I thought ever existed, and it forever changed my opinion of just how stupid the general populace was (silly me, I was raised in the Northeast, among what I would later come to realize was a non-representative demographic). Did I feel smug, superior, privileged?? Nah, just lonely. Lonely, and sad for the fact that I knew in my heart that social change would only come at a glacial fucking pace in this country. So far, the one-step-forward, two-steps-back shuffle has been worse than even I could have even predicted with that knowledge, however. Eight years of Bush set this joint back a good two decades, and homeboy has been a fine pet to the establishment, but hasn't delivered shit, really. No, I get that this country is stupid. Over 80% still believe in the fucking Easter Bunny (Jesus), and only half believe in evolution. Trust me, I've traveled the world, and I have valid comparisons. Still, the truth eventually ALWAYS comes out...no matter how stupid those being deceived really are. That's one thing about lies. They all have a shelf life. In Brazil we say "a Lie has short legs"...

Off topic, I have always wanted to see a decent pocketbike. All the ones I have seen around here suck serious ass and one of them was Italian. It was a Blata. It got stomped by our CRF88s. The thing cost double ours too. Can't imagine what the good ones cost.

I still have a few. Mine are all Pasta powered (Polini) - I think Blata is Czech made. IMO, they are much harder to ride fast that any dirtbike of any size. On your cross country trip, hit me up when you are near AZ. I'll drive a couple of them up there for you and whoever is with you to ride.

Oh, bullshit. I make beer. As long as I don't try and sell it, I can make up to 100 gallons a year. No Federals come by to check my house etc... Most people are lazy. They will let an authorized grower package it and buy it over the counter. Same principle. |

Dude, you need a modicum of intelligence, a number of ingredients, time, patience, and considerable equipment to make beer.
Cannabis is a fucking weed. You don't need shit (although come to think of it, a bit of fertilizer wouldn't hurt). If people would be allowed to grow it, many would, and big pharma would definitely take a hit (pun intended).

You give people WAY to much credit. Think Jiffy Lube and Wal Mart.

Yep, but let's face it...many guys still do change their own oil, or else they wouldn't sell filters at the Pep Boys.
Sure, it's not that many, but I think it's you who are under-estimating. What I think you're under-estimating is GREED.
