I have an ENV3. It has songs loaded on it, but I haven't listened to them in a long time. I use my ipod for that. I do take pictures and send text and pic messages. But that's it. Got rid of the mobile web cause I never had time to use it. No need for an iphone or Droid

Wow I am not alone here. I have a plain old flip phone, I too make mostly phone calls with it, with a little bit of texting. At my old job I would have liked one to help me kill time a little better, but now I currently have a computer to help me pass the time at work and to do work.

It should be legal to shoot anyone caught texting on your lawn.

I was very happy with my simple mobile phones I used up until a couple of years ago. I tried using a Windows smart phone about 5 years ago and hated it after a few days. Went back to my simple phone.
I think the tide turned for me when I worked our company's yearly show in Houston a couple of years back. The guys I was working with in the training sessions would be texting me non-stop because we had some HW/networking failures we were trying to get straightened out in time for the first class. By the time I would finish replying to a TXT on my old school phone, I had received 10 more. And the fact that I couldn't check my corporate mail was a huge hindrance. After that I decided to make my life easier and take the plunge. The ability to quickly TXT and/or e-mail and/or access my desktops and files through my phone is invaluable for me when away from my office or while travelling. I don't think I could ever go back, unless I chose a different career path. |
