After the spartan guy appears, put your mouse in the top right corner. Run your mouse down the water and about 3/4 of the way down go directly right. The green gem will show up right away.

You'll find out what I mean by the invisible mouse after that :P

Nice. Okay that makes more sense. We get past that level, but we just weren't sure how or why.
