Yeah Rider... as you've notice... we're mild gear nazi's here... just hate to see members get hurt... especially cause there's no good reason NOT to wear your gear... IMO at least.
Take care of yourself... and Dress for the Crash... not the Ride. |

DOT approved doesn't mean it's a good idea. The only thing I think those helmets are good for is acting as a chip bowl at a party.
Glad you're alright. But, take this as the mulligan and be ready for the real deal. It isn't that you can't afford to buy the jacket to ride, it's that you can't afford to ride without the jacket.

My only thing I must point out... and its the opposite to the "dress for the crash not the ride" mentality... You said you had your "cruising helmet" on but were giong too fast for said road. Just saying... Oh and |

I was only doing about 25 mph... from now on im wearing at least a full face helmet, Jacket and Gloves!
