The guy says he can't sell cigs and beer at the same location, and tells me to go next door. So I do. The same guy pops through a doorway and sells me cigs.

The two headed cow, btw, had died many years earlier, but they never took the sign down, so don't stop there, it's a gyp.

Sounds like you'd be the guinea pig in this business venture. Unless there is a steady stream of "uppity/progressive types" going through that town, a novelty store isn't going to do well.
