I'd much rather have a happy, well adjusted Playboy model teaching my kids, than some fucked up loser who hates his job, the kids he supposed to be teaching, and life in general. I had several teachers like that. Didn't learn shit from any of them.

I'd rather have neither of those options, and in the real life i have the option to put my student in a school that does not offer teachers like that. My parents moved me and my sisters out of the city because of the school system, and while this one case is hardly going to cause mass migration from the school, the road to the gutter is a slippery slope.

You misread my sentence. We don't SEND our kids to school to learn about life. They may get life lessons in school but that's not why we go to school. At my school I don't talk to anyone because I don't give a flying fuck about their life and I don't give a crap about hte teachers life. All I care about is my education and that's why I pay to go to school.

I could find out my math professor worships Barney the Dinosaur and holds the record for the longest time anyone has ever spent on meatspin. But my professor does a killer job teaching math in a way I understand it so I don't care what he does outside of the school.

My last math professor sucked so horrible that I quit listening to her in class and started doing work on my own while in class. And she could have personally flown to Bosnia and removed every single landmine with her teeth and it's not going to change the fact that she fails at teaching.

I don't have much to add to the thread because I can see both sides of the argument. i mean if you let a playboy model instruct kids (either as coach or teacher) then you would be forced to allow other types of "porn" stars (perhaps ones doing more hardcore porn) do the same and no one wants their child to grow up looking up to "porn stars" or you would have to appoint a group of people to decide what is acceptable and what isn't (which I would readily join) and that could get a bit dicey. on the other side playboy is usually done quite tastefully (as much as porn can be) and she does seem to be very well adjusted, well spoken and have her shit together. So in this case I personally wouldn't have a problem with it. Its just easier to set a precident and stick to it, with no exceptions.
