Odds are that your browser was remembering the wrong password. If you log off and clear your stored passwords, then log back in, you'll likely never have the problem again.

From that it sounds like it has something to do with what I mentioned; stored passwords. The "remember me" box likely stores the password in a file on your computer called a "cookie", so that you don't have to type it in each time. The saved password could be different from the one that you think is your password here. Try changing your password in usercp to the one you think it should be.
