I look on Craigslist and the local papers, primarily. It's not where you look, it's how you look, and if you recognize opportunity when you see it. When I'm actively "on the hunt", I scan literally hundreds of ads a week, I'll call maybe forty of the sellers I'm interested in, and look at two or three potentials before I make a deal. I lose 75% of the deals I want, sometimes because I underbid and piss of the seller, and sometimes because I'm not quick enough and somebody beats me to it.

I also stick to what I know, so i (usually) don't mess with cruisers and Harleys; I stick mostly to nekkids and sportbikes.

I have kind of a standard method I use to buy and sell bikes. I would share it with anyone looking to buy a used bike at better than average pricing.

Just PM me and I'll eventually get back to you . I work a FT job, work nights and weekends at the wife's business, and take classes at night, and own a couple homes, so sometimes I don't check in for a few days. Don't get offended if I don't get right back to you, OK?

Ya know, just the fact that you are willing to share the knowledge is pretty awesome, you could just sit back and hold onto the secret, so hats pretty cool, if/when I get the funds to do that kinda thing I will get with you!

No secret, no magic, just a methodical approach and a certain mindset.

What a GREAT bike! I babysat a SuperChicken for a year while a friend was deployed to the sandbox. Word of warning, be ready if you do any heavy braking. By ready, I mean the engine will have a tendency to die in those conditions... that is due to the HUGE carbs LoL...
