There was a guy rode his SV to the track, luggage and all, pulled the hard bags taped it up and tracked it with Roads on. Afterward he pulled tape and reattached the bags and rode home. He had a 2 hour trip one way.
He was doing pretty well

Here's a pic of him in front of me. No extreme lean angle, but it was the second session of our first track day.

Yeah, but we're in a 'buy what we need' mode right now - have been for some time. We've purchased little to nothing in the 'want' category for a while now. So until I actually need them, I won't be buying them.

I hear ya. I went from that to "I better get what I need to survive the summer happily before I'm broke" a few weeks ago. Consistency never was my strong point....
