I'm not he's the one who started it not me. I don't give 2 shits if you want to buy pabst. Who the fuck is making it into wine? Same could be said about your motorcycle.. it just a bike for gods sake, why get a BMW? Same thing. YOU are buying the bike because you like it. That's all. Like you said it's opinion and just like every other forum on the net, people offer their opinions whether you like them or not. You like steak right? It's just meat. Why not eat dog? It's just meat.

As for the BMW, hell yeah I want to play the elitism card. It's the first time I will have something I can be elitist about, I WANT IN ON THE FUN CLUB! LOL.... As for the steak, I don't mind a cheap cut, but dog meat is like comparing beer to wine. It's just gross.

I don't consider my appreciation for micro brews to be an elitist thing.
I've had my share of bulk beer and now simply choose beers with more distinct, less "common denominator" type flavors. (notice, I didn't say 'lowest') If you can't taste the difference, or it simply doesn't matter enough for you to spend a little more on them, that's your choice.

Once you make your own beer and get familiar with the brewing process, you tend to experiment a little to get that perfect recipe that you love. |

Not at all really. I cant stand beer, but I know that a beer such as Sam Adams is going to be significantly "better" (define as you will) than something like Natty light or Coors. (You can smell the difference.)
Men especially drink what they see their dads drink. They grow up with it and think its great because they dont know better. My hubby and his dad are prime examples. His dad has always been a Bud Light guy, and up until the hubby started traveling the world and trying new beers, he didnt know what was out there. Now, he'll drink cheap crap if offered, but if he's spending money on beer, its usually something no one else has heard of or the more expensive in the coolers. I even try them on occasion, and while I still hate beer, I can kinda appreciate the flavor differences and the quality differences. |

My dad drinks SHITTY beer. Keystone Premium. I dont drink that shit. Unless I'm at dad's house and he offers. It's free and it's the only choice. Fine. But otherwise...Sam Adams is my daily drinker. Usually the Boston ALE. Good shit.

I've had Flying Dog Pale Ale...it was ok. Not the best pale ale I've had...but certainly not the worst. I've never had any other Flying Dog.
