Mine (now comonboys') would redline in 6th. 146 indicated mph at that point.

Beyond that, you are just flogging her for that little bit of HP at the top.

Then......the fun stops at 6700 RPM. Damn long stroke engine.
1125's like 5000 to 9000 range

Well if you must know Tommy Hayden won a couple 750 susperstock races on his 636 back in the day (04). Attack Kawasaki has had good luck with their 600cc version so the engine is buildable. The over the counter one is down on hp but 5 minutes and a wire connector give you the missing 5 hp on top but hay, who cares..middleweights are all about handling and hi redlines...This thread is about feeling the willys when you ride hard...I can ride anything hard

Engine braking is the deceleration of your motor pushing against the rear wheel with no brakes applied. There is a little invention known as a "slipper clutch" which my bike comes equipped with stock that allows one to run into a corner very hot without rear tire force. YOUR bike having so much torque and "trying to rip your arms off" must have the exact opposite affect upon roll off. But I wouldn't know as I have never ridden a buell...

Yo you taken in what im pushin out now?

Strangely, it has pretty sucky engine braking. The XB's have gigantic heavy flywheels, so engine braking is minimal. The slipper clutch for my bike is $1500. No thanks. I rev match. It's the best I can do. The short wheelbase and my big monkey ass make the rear light, so jamming down a grear or two can make things interesting.

I rode a buddy's VStrom and thought it was going to throw me over the handlebars.

I feel an 1125 is in my future.
