How much do those guitar kits cost? If it's substantial, why take a chance unless you're fairly sure it's something he'll actually use?

Click on the one I posted. $189 for everything; guitar, strap, cord, picks, tuner, and amp.

I read that you think it's a good idea, and that you're looking into lessons for him, but I didn't see any declaration that he's actually interested in music So I am assuming you know him well enough to know that he'd give it a decent try. If there's any doubt, I'd save your money and get him the nerf rifle

That thing has a humbucker, but no single coils... which = no room for growth once he starts wanting to change sounds. Waste of money. Pay the extra $80...

Right, but not every kid that picks up an instrument turns into a legend or even a hippy coffee place player.

He's 10 so he's probably curious about girls underpants. A stack of porn should do the trick cause we all know that porn is real life just like reality tv.

Who else is gonna teach him about sex? Parents dont and the school's are a joke and dont need to.

Let the kid have a dream of a limo full of naked cheerleaders. Let him dream. I had a DREAM! Then I woke up with an erection.
