I think my HD is the same way. Want to double check it.

I'm calling ddm monday.

I was told by a guy I know that sells HIDs, that he use to sell the same black digital ballast versions that ddm does. But he had problems with them. So he sells a different brand that has a silver digital ballast. Not sure what that is about. Plan on asking him and ddm.

Especially those with the higher lumen/wattage ratings.

Maybe Honda uses a crap stator. I have my Power Commander, HIDs, LEDs, J&M Integrator, Valentine 1, alarm, phone charger, and my GPS hooked up to my bike and I have never had a problem.
oh i know... I used the relay for a while but tossed it shortly after the rally as it shorted out... ran the HID's longer with out the relay than with.

I'll not have a relay on the DRZ

I finally got a call back from them. Said he's not sure what happened yesterday. Spoke to Brian and he was very helpfull and answered all my 300 quetions. So I am going to place an order with him for

1 - H4 hi/lo 55W 8k color ddm
1 - dual 880 35W 6k color ddm

That is 3 HIDs on the front of my beast. Should look like the sun driving down the road.

why you going with 8k? 5k is the most luminous... I think 8k is more blue (can't remember if it's the higher the bluer or yellower)

I was told that the 6k would be best. But that the 8k on the 55w would look similar to the 6k of the 35w bulbs.
Quote:
55w kits tend to wash out some of the color of the HID bulb due to the light output( for example, a 55w 8000k will look similar in color to a 35w 6000k kit).
Which is
Quote:
The most popular color we sell is 6000k. That would be described as white with a hint of blue
As described here
http://ddmtuning.com/support/index.p...eid=38&nav=0,2

I want a hint of blue. I think it makes your headlight stick out in the crowd a bit more (day or night) which increases me being seen as well. So the 8k would be more blue... but by going to a 55w the color should wash out and get more white. That's the idea. Is my logic that I worked out with brian flawed?
