You can be anyone to participate, and when something goes on in your area I beleive they notify their members to be on stand by. They are riders across the nation that stand up for those in need. Here's the website: http://www.patriotguard.org/ |

I am a member of the FL and South East Region Patriot Guard, and I have gone on a couple rides. It's amazing, we had one in Jax where there were almost 500 bikes, the Jax FD blocked off all the streets from the service to the burial site so the bikes didn't have to stop, it was amazing seeing that many bikes almost all displaying flags. Neebelung was on the ride too.
The Westboro Baptist Church never showed up.

my career field doesn't go too often... so my two trips were ones I volunteered for... Iraq and Kuwait. I'd go again in a second... but it's not anywhere near as hard as the army has it... shit they come to our locations for R&R! (well... not in Kirkuk) |

They are both beautiful, and as different from me as night and day. Lets just say I look like a miniature compared to them both, and I've got 10 years on them. Thankfully the oldest who just enlisted in the army is something of a "beast", about 6ft tall and solid, not manly tho and any unwanted attention and she will most likely rip someone apart. Anger management hasnt kicked in yet and she's more inclined to knock you out then discuss things. She wants to be a cop when she gets out... The youngest is considering Navy, they have a special chef program she is interested in...kid can cook!! She has no problem running her mouth and will make her feeling well known for a large vicinity if needed... I'm crossing my fingers for them both, and try not to cry from being terrified and proud when I think about it. Kudos to Tally and Nico, cool pics! Good job and a preemptive welcome home!! |

Patriot guard is a awesome org.
I get all the notifications, but have not yet made it on a ride. Sadly, all the ones that have been near have fallen on days that I have duty for guard. |
