When I bought and sold my last gun, the FFL had to verify I was a Georgia resident.

It wont, but just like selling a car, I would get the buyers info along with the cars info

Okay, so he is in MS, sells the gun to someone in NC and lives in CA and you think that they'll trace the gun back to him if something happens 10 years later? Anyway, I posted the NC law page, if he does sell me a gun, I send him a copy of my permit and a bill of sale if he desires. No problem.

Why take the chance...see below. It takes all of 5 minutes to do up a detailed bill of sale that can be kept on file in just IN CASE you might need it down the road. Just did this last week for the hubby on a gun trade. Theres no sense in NOT doing it, just to CYA. If someone refuses to sign one, I'd be refusing to sell it to them. It's amazing how people can track things...and people.

You have some VERY VERY nice guns. Are you in a hurry to sell them?

Hot damn, you've hit the mother load...I'm calling the hubby to tell him to come look. You're relative may have been a "poser" but the hubby collects guns just because he can, perhaps your family member was the same, alot of folks do.

The dude we just traded with has so many guns he didnt even finish telling us about all of them, while a friend of mine has so many they are in every room of his house. I know who to go see during WWIII.

You go through an FFL for interstate sales. You don't need a bill of sale.

Gunbroker.com is standard and the best way to go about it.
