I just got off the phone with the local dealer about a CB1000R (I sent them an email before I decided not to buy this year).

They don't have one and say that if they get one, it probably won't be until next year. Then he went on to suggest bikes that I'm not even remotely interested in.

Why is it so hard to get a bike?

Just wondering if they're relatively worry-free, for the reasons I have somewhat steered away from Ducati.

I don't know if you guys have figured it out just yet, but I tend to steer toward uncommon things. Ducati, Triumph, Husqvarna, etc. Rather than stuff you see all over the place.

But, in this case, I'm also not trying to create a bunch of work for myself by buying something that's going to be a headache.
