I am actually thinking about the American Mini Hobo in blue from Coronado. Its cute and functional. I just worry about an over the shoulder vs. a cross body not being as secure. I'll let you know if I get one. I have heard the Coronados are very high quality.

I carry most of the time and do have my CC permit.

not trying to thread hijack but this is how we roll in NY...even Cops can get into trouble for showing a gun in public

Keep in mind that NYPD rides free...

They say he showed his gun to quiet four passengers who had attended a New York Rangers hockey game.

Hendrick pleaded not guilty Monday in Hempstead to a felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon and a lesser charge of menacing. He was held on $2,500 bond or $1,000 cash.

Defense attorney Steve Worth has refused to comment.

Hendrick joined the New York Police Department 16 years ago. He works on a traffic task force.

The article reads like he was carrying concealed and withdrew his gun ("displayed a handgun") to "quiet unruly passengers". If that's the case, I think the charges are reasonable.

I have guns but don't have a concealed carry permit so I never carry. I may get it at some point just to get it but I would still rarely, if ever carry.

Law enforcement folks are easy to spot on the train.
Jeans, big back packs
Very secretive about exposing their "train pass" (because they are only supposed to sit when there is extra seats available)
...and oh yeah....the ankle holsters.

I HATE.....REALLY HATE catching train when a game lets out.
