Flexin, you're right. It's a sign of respect. The mayor is showing this guy one ounce of respect. This dude is one of the most recognizable religious figures in the world, I think he deserves a proper greeting, not a fist bump.
I know there are alot of crooked politicians in the world, but this guy is holding public office and outta hold himself in a little higher regard. I woulda put on a nice suit and extended my hand, or hell, even figure out what is the Dali's customary greeting and done that. I'd show you, the Dali, and anyone I meet the proper respect, and it wouldn't be in the form of a fist bump.
