That's assuming that you're directly connected to the cable modem. If you go through a router/gateway, then you can do the same sort of thing in the router's control panel.

it's <space> /release if I remember correctly...example:
C:\ipconfig *hit enter now* C:\ipconfig /release *hit enter now* C:\ipconfig /renew *hit enter now* there's a space between the word "ipconfig" and the "/". Am I remembering correctly guys? |
