I'm sorry. I was keeping up with the journal and I knew he was having issues, but I had no idea that it was this bad. He was starting to get back on track too.. damn.. There really isn't anything I can do, but you and your family are in my thoughts.

Sounds like a stubborn guy pushing his way to 59. I'm glad you got to spend the time you did with him.
I'm sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this difficult time. Enjoy the memories of happy times, though.... they'll help pull you through. |

Yeah I'm happy that he went fast instead of dying slowly in bed with nurses "making him comfortable". Plus during his sickness from cancer allowed all of us to see him before he passed...

Wonderfull... maybe. Good man that taught me certain things about being a man, a good family man. I'm sure the impact of our loss will be felt for many years to come. I know that I will miss talking about work with him. He worked the same job I do. I started as a summer help outside of high school. And now I do his job plus some but still had that connection.
I will be writting his eulogy and going to take the next several days to brainstorm. Will do my best to make it somewhat humerous. My dad always liked to allow life to not get him down. Ya know, life is too serious as it is, to not allow yourself a good laugh. Don't take yourself too serious. That kind of mentality. So rather than sit here and cry over our loss, I am thinking about the things we gained by all knowing him. That is the true way to remember a person. IMO |
