I can meet up with you guys in Vegas and you are welcome to crash at my place, I have couch, floor and garage space. And there are plenty of cheap hotels too.

How far is it from vegas to california? I figure if I am going to be out that far, I may as well hit cali just in case I don't get another chance for a while.

not that far, there is a trip from mesquite that runs through cali to or that is like 30 miles longer so not that much but i was afraid of the heat and traffic would be too brutale for an iron butt ride, plus CO is amazing

I would rather spend more time in colorado for sure. Might have to make a quick jaunt/pit stop just across the border though.

Depends where in CA. The border is about 30 minutes away and LA, San Diego is about a little over 300 miles. Basically Las Vegas is about 300 miles from all the other major cities.
