I suggest you do three things, in order: 1. Get a storage unit for the bikes. 2. Buy a shotgun. Something in a 12Ga with an 18" barrel. 3. Move.

You could do a Discovery documentary on them. Live in their tribe. Lean their language. Mate with their women.
There is a chance that you might want to stay with them or become to lazy to get away from them. |

2. I have a 12Ga shot gun already but I appreciate the thought! 3. Already working on it. I may take your first suggestion and get a storage unit but for my stuff, camp with the gf at her place until her lease is up and then move somewhere with her. My biggest problem will be what to do with the dog! If it weren't for him, I'd already be gone. |

I could be the Jane Goodall of the hood! I wonder if I should get John Hurt or Morgan Freeman to narrate? Hmmmm..... decisions, decisions....

Unless you have full coverage & are ready to 'trade-in', I'd definitely stash the bike elsewhere - especially w/ all the chop-shopable goodies on it. Cable lock/alarm won't do didley if it gets chucked into a mini-van in about 9 seconds flat. When I lived near Charlotte, it was a given that a bike wouldn't last any time in an apt complex anywhere near the rougher areas (based on hearing many theft reports on the local forum over the years), and picking them up/throwing them in a p/u or van seems to be the preferred method.
That's a f'd-up situation, but at least you're month-to-month & have an exit strategy - good luck! |
