if it wasn't that some of their forums have countless highly informative threads... that people don't wanna post again, members are just to lazy to find a non VS forum, or are new to the forum world and don't know how a forum should be run... VS's forums wouldn't have any members...

Because they disagreed with the new powers that be and their practices. Like lieing, misrepresenting, etc. And often it is the quiestest dissenters that are banned immediately, for questioning the new powers and their rules...while those openingly and louding protesting stay on a bit longer, probably because thier rantings draw in attention and hits to the site...
