Exclamation The dangers of Brake Cleaner

I found this on another forum I frequent. I don't use brake cleaner all that often, mostly Simple Green for my cleaning.

I'm sure some use it quite a bit for cleaning.

When I went to tech school before I went on to college, we were warned about open flame and Brake Cleaner...basically never mix the two.

I have no clue what tetrahydroclorhine is but I stay away from brake cleaner as a rule of thumb, its some nasty shit, right up there with dot5 brake fluid.

This is bad but I've seen worse...I knew a girl once that died cleaning her apt. Mixed chlorine bleach and other cleaners by dumping her used water in the toilet. The mixture formed chlorine gas and killed her instantly.

Brake fluid and bleach makes hydrochlorine vapor, burns your skin and melts your lungs.

We looked at this in an advanced chem class. There are several things that have to be mixed perfectly to work.

I use it as a marinade. Cook for 20 minutes and garnish with Go Jo and a red rag...

PB Blaster and all those spray engine degreasers are pretty bad too. Lots of people don't even use gloves with them.
